The latest release from Freenote Cloth is just so damn dope it inspired a whole new section on CeeAreDee!
Sometimes you just see something that grabs you. Something that you just want. You don’t need it. But that is kinda the point. Life would just be better with it. The CD-3 jacket from Freenote Cloth is just such a thing.
Two years in the making!
Brought to us by Californian based brand, Freenote Cloth, the CD-3 is their first outerwear drop for 2020, and boy, do they come out of the gates running! But like in all good races, it is the prep that counts. This particular jacket was 2 years in the making.
Finely tuned details
First, they had to find just the right kind of leather, a split hide made right there in the US of A. Then they needed to do a little tweaking to their denim jacket pattern. Once the basics were in place, it was time to fine-tune the details. Say Adiós to the front patch pockets and the side pockets are now welts. The cuffs are a bit fancier and the zigzag running down the front has been beefed up to a double-needle stitch.
You learn something new every day!
But, you’ll probably not notice any of that because you’re distracted by the fringe. And this so something I didn’t know… According to the Freenote brothers, the fringe was originally there to help water run off the garment. I just thought it was there to look dope flying in the wind on the back of a hog… you learn something every day.
Each jacket takes about a day to make, cut and sewn together by a master sewer.
