Fuck That’s Cool: KAPITAL’s SS20 "FLARE STAR" Catalog Shot by Eric Kvatek

The Krazy Kool KAPITAL Kats transport us to the streets of Vietnam for their Spring Summer Katalogue.

KAPITAL is a pretty unique brand. It needs some unique locations to show off its full vision! Each season the KAPITAL team along with their long-standing photography partner Eric Kvatek jet off to some stunning location. This time it is Vietnam. They strut, style and shoot, creating a series of shots that evokes the essence of the brand, transport us to the location and inspire us all. The KAPITAL lookbook is something that both the industry and consumer get all excited about each and every season.

Time Flies it’s the 50th issue!

This time around it marks 50th issue of its seasonal catalogue and is entitled “FLARE STAR”.

A Magical Mystery Tour

The collection it highlights is a magical mystery tour of the creative genius of KAPITAL’s designer. They pull on influences from classic denim, Americana, military gear and western workwear and blend them together with a decidedly oriental flair.

Hippie Leanings

The collection leans heavily on the counter-culture hippies of the 60s which wonderfully offsets the military-inspired pieces in the collection. The military pieces themselves pull from both the Vietnamese and the US forces. This possibly problematic ( especially given the location ) and certainly contradictory stylistic choice is rounded out, rounded off and toned down with four-eyed smiley faces and peace signs.

Textured Ever Time

As always, texture (both literally and metaphorically) is at the heart of whatever KAPITAL does. This time around they throw us a curveball. We see neoprene wetsuits bearing their iconic skeleton.

The lookbook along with all the pieces from the collection is available over on the KAPITAL webshop. Head over and bring a little Krazy into your Kollection.
